REPORT BY DENNIS BOOTH: Heywood St James slipped up at Phoenix Park last Saturday in their latest group game in the Myles Kenyon Cup Competition.

Leading 2-0, through fine efforts from Gary Stanley and Aaron Nuttall, the Jimmies allowed a sprightly Radcliffe Town far too much room and duly paid the price finding themselves 2-3 behind with little time remaining.

A late flurry saw Lee Weatherilt on the spot to stab home the equalising goal but a 3-3 draw may not be enough to see Jimmies into the next round of games

Jimmies are still awaiting a competition ruling on their outstanding group game against Walshaw ”B” which was postponed on 21st July due to a saturated pitch.
