April 22, 2012

westduds0036Heywood St James stay in the bottom two of the Manchester Football League after a poor display at Phoenix Park against West Didsbury and Chorlton.

Missing Mike Wetherilt, Jimmies’ main threat came from Andy Nuttall but the nervous home side couldn’t create enough chances and inevitably went 1-0 down shortly after the break, and were unable to hit back.

It leaves them level on points with AFC Bury with two league games left, at home to Springhead on Saturday and then at home to AVRO the week after.
