Hooley Bridge CelticHooley Bridge Celtic firsts turned things around to thrash visiting South Manchester 3-1 at Heywood Leisure Centre.

Performances have been good all season for Celtic, but it is still a young team and sometimes a lack of experience has cost them dear.

Not today. Celtic battled hard against a game but struggling South Manchester side but went behind to a penalty just before the interval.

Harsh words were said by coaching staff Norman Kenyon and Alec Gill, and the battle was taken to South Manchester.

The first goal came courtesy of a cheeky Ellis Ridsdale finish, then Marcus Smith reacted well to put Hooley Bridge ahead.

As South Manchester pressed, Matt Mott scored the third to secure a superb victory.

The win keeps Hooley Bridge above the relegation fight in the Lancashire and Cheshire AFL Premier League.
