Hooley Bridge And Jimmies At Home Saturday

January 17, 2013

Hooley Bridge CelticHooley Bridge Celtic will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they host Bedians on Saturday.

Bedians are Hooley Bridge’s nearest rivals in the league, sitting one point and one position above them in the Lancs and Cheshire AFL Premier Division.

Hooley Bridge fought back brilliantly last week to beat South Manchester 3-1 from 1-0 down, a win they really needed to open a gap between themselves and the relegation contenders.

The reserves travel to rock-bottom Droylsden JFC in Division 3, while the thirds host Old Stretfordians on the second pitch at Heywood Leisure Centre.

Heywood St James are in desperate need of a victory.

They host Wythenshawe in a game they must improve in, after their 7-3 crushing by Leigh Athletic at Phoenix Park last week.

All games start at 2pm, weather permitting. Better than being sat in the boozer.
