Hollingworth Lake offers a wonderful opportunity for Heywood folk to enjoy the outdoors this winter. There’s something for everyone, with woodland treks, miniature garden making and bracing walks all on offer. All no more than 15 minutes from Heywood. This Saturday (19) visitors can join rangers for a nature walk before making their own work of art between 2 and 4pm. There’s more fun in February as the rangers celebrate Rochdale’s Community Woodland Month with a lesson on woodland management techniques on Saturday 2 at 1pm. This Saturday – January 19 – there’s a Saturday Ballroom Special, in association with Vivas Dance Club and Gibbons Dance.
